We stayed in the old Route 66 town of Williams, Arizona and took a great train ride on the old Grand Canyon Railway to... well, the Grand Canyon! It was a lovely break from driving, and doing this by train added a whole other dimension to the day.
We had so much fun that day, the Wild West show in the morning was hilarious, the train ride was lovely, with a singing cowboy to entertain us (and on the way back the train got held up by fake Cowboys), the Grand Canyon is, as you would expect, spectacular... and the town of Williams on Route 66 was great to walk around. We're really glad we did this.

17th October
