1st October - Today was our walking around the local neighbourhoods day. So we got to see Little Italy, Chinatown, Soho, the West Village and other areas. We loved this day.
We got to see lots of interesting people, some lovely old looking apartment buildings, many interesting shops... and just the general feeling of seeing New York, where people actually lived their day to day lives, away from the hoards of tourists. (even though that's what we were!)
It was nice to be in the smaller areas and not just in the centre of places like Times Square or under the Empire State building. We had a really nice (but tiring!) day on this day.
Anyway, here we are looking for somewhere to have a coffee and rest our feet!
